It is important to us to get to know each child, and their family, as we work as a team to provide opportunities for your child to explore, and grow. We run an infant/toddler combination class, with a teacher child ratio of 1-4, with a maximum of 12 children with 3 teachers. The ages of the children in this program range in age from 6 weeks-24 months. There is a monthly theme based curriculum in this program. Most young infants are on their own schedules, as they typically nap and eat more frequently. The toddlers that are eating table foods, and on one longer nap each day, are on our center schedule. Once a baby transitions to table foods we offer all meals, which include breakfast for those here before 7:15 a.m. 2 snacks, and lunch. Until this point bottles and baby food are brought in by the parent.
The program offers circle time with stories and songs, art activities, sensory, as well as outdoor time, weather permitting, for large motor learning activities. We like to be on the floor or at their level as much as we possibly can. Younger infants are introduced to age appropriate things like tummy time, rolling over, reaching and grabbing etc. with the assistance of a teacher.
Classroom cleanliness is of the utmost importance to us, so we make every effort to sanitize daily, as well as all surfaces are sanitized after each use. Laundry is also done here on site daily, as we provide drool bibs, and feeding bibs, burp cloths as well as sheets and blankets.
